Ending the HIV Epidemic
" Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America (EHE)" is a bold plan that aims to end the HIV epidemic in the United States by 2030. The new initiative seeks to reduce the number of new HIV infections by 75 percent within five years, and then by at least 90 percent within 10 years. Due to the high incidence of HIV, Miami-Dade County was chosen as one of the 57 jurisdictions to implement this initiative.

AHEAD Dashboard
The U.S. Department of Health and Humans Services (HHS), through its Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy (OIDP), developed a unique data visualization tool that displays the most up to date, standardized, HIV indicator data from the CDC along with progress data for the 50 U.S. states and EHE goals for each priority area. EHE Dashboard on FL Health CHARTS
The purpose of the EHE Dashboard is to extend and enhance the use of data to measure, track and disseminate actionable information. Dashboard users can explore data on key metrics focused on HIV prevention, new diagnoses and linkage, prevalence and care, and deaths among people with HIV. Interactive features enable users to customize visualizations by selected geographical areas and further stratify data by sex, age, race, ethnicity, or transmission risk group. By integrating these various data sets into a single platform, the EHE Dashboard provides the ability to monitor progress on HIV-related outcomes toward achieving Florida's EHE goals.
